The Company has interests in an oil shale deposit, Alpha, located in Queensland, Australia. The Alpha deposit is located approximately 60 kilometers south of Alpha. The Alpha deposit consists of two seams: an upper seam consisting of cannel coal shale and a lower seam consisting of torbanite oil shale lens enclosed in cannel coal shale. The torbanite is an oil shale consisting predominately of algal components. The Company's subsidiary, Alpha Resources Pty Ltd, is engaged in mineral exploration in Australia.
