Genex Power Limited is a power generation development company. The Company is engaged in the development of the Kidston Energy Hub in far north Queensland, as well as mine remediation work associated with the site. It focuses on the development of clean energy generation and storage solutions. It is engaged in the development of over 50 megawatt (MW) of its Kidston Solar Project. Its Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project (PSHP) is located in Northern Queensland on the site of the historical Kidston Gold Mine. The PSHP site is located approximately 270 kilometers north-west of Townsville near the township of Georgetown. The Kidston site has over two pits, which acts as the upper and lower reservoirs for the project. The PSHP is a closed loop system, which involves in the transfer of water from the upper reservoir to the lower reservoir. The Kidston scheme is designed to support between 1,500 megawatt hours (MWh) to 2,250 MWh of continuous power generation in a single generation cycle.
