MinRex Resources Limited, formerly MinRex Resources NL, is a mineral exploration and development company. The Company is involved in the mining and exploration of gold, base metal and tin projects in Western Australia and Tasmania. Its projects include Deflector Extended Gold Project and Heemskirk Tin Project. Its Deflector Extended Gold project is located within the Gullewa Greenstone Belt, south of Yalgoo in Western Australia. The Gullewa Greenstone Belt is part of the Murchison Province of the Archaean Yilgarn Craton. Its Heemskirk Tin Project is located in the coastal north-western Tasmania. The Heemskirk Tin project area covers a part of the Meso-Proterozoic rocks of the Zeehan-Waratah Belt (mainly Oonah and Crimson Creek formations), including the southern extent of the Arthur Lineament Metamorphic Complex and the Dundas Trough. Its Heemskirk Tin Project has been the site of tin, tungsten and base metals mining and exploration activities.
