Optiscan Imaging Limited Description
Optiscan Imaging Limited is engaged in the development and commercialization of confocal microscopes. The Company has two business segments: realisation (trading), and research and development. The realization (trading) segment comprises manufacturing and sales of confocal imaging products. The research and development segment's activities include design and development of new products and technologies, including related income from customers. The Company's products are Pentax ISC-1000 and Optiscan FIVE1. Pentax ISC-1000 product has adopted its technology in the management of Barrett's Oesophagus and the prevention of oesophageal adenocarcinoma (Barrett's cancer). The Optiscan FIVE1 is a fluorescence endomicroscope that has been designed for in vivo investigations of animal tissues. The FIVE1 enables a range of animal imaging studies in different organ systems.
